WHERE: Garden, Reception at The New Weigh Inn, Caithness
WHEN: 18th August 2004
HOW THEY MET
Julie and Graham first met each other when they began working together.
PROPOSAL
Graham proposed to Julie whilst holidaying in Cyprus. He carried the ring with him on an night out, waiting for the perfect place but he decided to propose back in the hotel room.
SHE WORE
Julie's beautiful dress was gold satin with an amazing beaded bodice made by the Spanish designer La Sposa.
HE WORE
Graham and the other men in the wedding party all looked amazing in kilts.
THE BRIDESMAIDS
Julie designed the gorgeous deep red bridesmaids dresses herself and got a local dressmaker to make them.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony was conducted by Julie and Graham's local minister in a lovely marquee in their garden, which seated 80 people.
THE RECEPTION
The marquee was beautifully decorated with Ivy. The glass bowls on the tables made lovely centre pieces, filled with water, one Gloriosa Lily and thin leaves attached to the inside of the bowls.
THE CAKE
Julie made the delicious cake herself and she got a friend to decorate it with white chocolate rolls and Gloriosa Lilies.
BRIDES TIP
"Even though vidographers are expensive, it would be my top tip to save money elsewhere and splash out on the video as it is something you can watch over & over again"
SPECIAL MOMENTS
"It was extra special having the ceremony in our garden as we are both keen gardeners. The garden was full of roses and lilies which was the perfect setting for a wedding and to top it all off it was the hottest day of the year!"
THE HONEYMOON
Julie and Graham had an amazing week in Sri Lanka and then spent a week in the beautiful Maldives.
