HOW THEY MET
Mark was out celebrating a friend’s birthday when he met Sarah in a bar in Birmingham, eight years ago.
SHE WORE
A fabulous dress, called ‘Harmony’, bought from Sally Bee, in Hall Green, Birmingham. It had an unusual halter-neck satin bodice with dasiy and diamanté detail and a full A-line skirt and long train. Sarah wore a veil with matching daisy sparkle detail and borrowed her tiara from her bridesmaid, who was married the year before. Her pretty wrist corsage was inspired one Tess Daly wore at her wedding.
HE WORE
A silver-grey suit from Paul Smith London and pink shirt by Black Label. We love Mark’s white and pink daisy tie, which also came from Paul Smith. His Tiffany & Co cufflinks were a wedding present from Sarah.
THE BRIDESMAIDS
Sarah’s three bridesmaids wore pale salmon pink dresses, which were gathered at one side with diamanté detail, and looked fantastic. Their diamanté sandals were by Jones’s.
THE FLOWERS
Sarah carried a small pink rose bouquet, with diamanté detail. Her bridesmaids had ivory roses, and Mark a matching pink buttonhole.
THE CAKE
Was a three-tier, stacked, chocolate cake with ivory chocolate sticks and pink roses, by Flour Power Cakes in Earlswood, Solihull.
THE FAVOURS
Men were given spirit miniatures wrapped in pink tissue with the date of the wedding, all assembled by Sarah and her aunt. Ladies received a box of love hearts and a scented candle, with Sarah and Mark’s wedding date on it, wrapped in netting.
THE THEME
Sarah’s idol is Audrey Hepburn and she wanted to create a romantic, relaxed and pink feel to the day! She copied Hepburn’s hairstyle in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the couple had Moon River for their first dance. They scattered rose petals and hearts and placed candles on every table to create a romantic feel.
SPECIAL MOMENTS
The day was very emotional and special for both Sarah and Mark. Sarah’s uncle from America did a moving speech on behalf of her family and the sun shone all day.
THE HONEYMOON
Mark kept this secret from Sarah until their wedding day. They went to Dubai and Mauritius, and stayed in the amazing luxury, seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel!
