WHERE: St. Oswald's Church, Malpas, Cheshire
WHEN: December 2004
HOW THEY MET
Jane and Dean had been chasing each other around the gym for ages, but a chance encounter over spring greens in the supermarket finally led to a date!
SHE WORE
Jane wore a fabulous ‘Mathryo’ satin gown and co-ordinating organza coat. Both were handmade in Belgium, and found through Red Rose Bridal in Boldmere, Birmingham. The bodice was overlaid with crystals and organza flower and the coat was especially designed for Jane.
HE WORE
Dean hired his ivory jacket, waistcoat, cravat and black trousers from Wearhouse in Warrington, and the colours were chosen in particular to co-ordinate with Jane’s gown.
THE BRIDESMAIDS
The four bridesmaids wore eye-catching strapless, red gowns edged with feathers, which were individually designed by Cross & Company in Cheshire.
THE FLOWERS
Jane carried a bouquet of Grand Prix red roses decorated with Swarovski crystals and red feathers, for a really individual touch.
THE CAKE
Jane and Dean wanted a really unusual cake and found ‘Bubble’ by Slattery of Manchester. It fitted perfectly with the style of their wedding and had the “wow” factor that the couple wanted.
THE TRANSPORT
A wonderful 1930’s style Ford Model A Landau car, finished in dark blue and ivory.
THE FAVOURS
The couple wanted to give a charitable donation on behalf of their guests, and so men received Lance Armstrong foundation wristbands and ladies were given breast cancer awareness pins, all presented in silver boxes.
THE MUSIC
During the meal Kenny G and Il Divo provided good background music and during the evening reception there was an amazing band from the Midlands, The Soundations, who were accompanied by their own DJ and had everybody dancing well into the night.
THE THEME
As the wedding took place on 30th December, the couple decided on the theme of a New Year’s Eve ball, with all of the details in ivory, with lots of red roses and feathers The couple tried to keep as many things as surprises for guests as possible. The marquee was in two sections and they kept the main part hidden until dinner. The main marquee had a black lining with hundreds of twinkling lights, a disco ball, and a white dance floor. Black and silver accessories completed the look.
