HOW THEY MET
Sarah and Kevin met whilst out with friends in Aberdeen.
THE PROPOSAL
On Sarah’s birthday the couple stayed in a hotel where Kevin got down one knee and popped the question before they went out for a romantic dinner.
SHE WORE
Sarah’s classic strapless two-piece came from Berketex Brides, Aberdeen. It featured a gorgeous intricate beaded bodice which laced up the back and an organza overlay skirt and small train.
HE WORE
Kevin and his attendants wore 'Grey Drummond' kilts from Georgian Kilt Hire in Aberdeen. They complimented these with smart black jackets, black shirts, black socks and silver ties.
THE BRIDESMAIDS
Their bridesmaids wore simple, stunning two-piece, strapless dresses by Mori Lee.
THE FLOWERS
Sarah’s bouquet was a lovely mix of pale pink and cerise pink gerberas, pink celosias and Candy Bianca roses. The bridesmaids also had pale pink & cerise pink gerberas in their bouquets.
TRANSPORT
The bridesmaids arrived in a dark blue Mercedes, whilst Sarah arrived in a classy Rover.
THE CAKE
The delicious three-tier sponge cake made came from M&S, which they decorated with butterflies and cerise gerberas.
RECEPTION
The reception tables had tall vases filled with pale pink and cerise pink gerberas and silver butterflies on them. They also sprinkled silver heart confetti over them.
FAVOURS
The ladies were given homemade tablet presented in silver organza bags and the men were given lucky scratch cards.
MUSIC
Sarah and Kevin hired a piper for the ceremony and in the evening a local band played a variety of music keeping the guests on their feet!
SPECIAL MOMENTS
“ I loved walking down the stairs with my dress on for the first time and seeing my dad - the look on his face was priceless. We hired a magician for a few hours to keep the guests happy whilst we had our photos taken – he was a real hit with all of our guests.”
BRIDE'S TIP
"Get your cake from a supermarket - it tastes just as good and costs a fraction of the price. I bought the favour bags and thank you cards online from America. Even with postage it still worked out cheaper."
GROOM'S TIP
"Remember to thank your new wife for all the work she has put in to your wedding day."
THE HONEYMOON
Sarah and Kevin spent a fantastic two weeks in Mexico sunning themselves and relaxing in five star luxury!
