Celebrity planners Anthony Miller and Richard Jones solve your wedding worries. For more see weddingsbyanthonyandrichard.co.uk Dancing theme? Please help us find ideas for our theme! I love dancing and my fiancé likes cars and computer games. Our first dance could incorporate something for my theme but what can we do about cars? Tammy and Paul Richard says..."Dancing is perhaps easier to plan for, in terms of the first dance, as you have said. When it comes to cars, why not use a couple of his favourite vehicles as your wedding transport – you can hire pretty much anything nowadays, even Hummers! If you are having a table plan then why not name the tables after his favourite games? You can then theme the tables with pictures that represent those games." Family ties My fiancé and I are planning to get married next year. We really wanted a low-key wedding in a special location and planned on going abroad. My fiancé asked my parents and they gave him their blessing. However, my father has now admitted to me that it is not what he expected and to think seriously about how we are affecting people. We had planned on having a wedding party when we got back. My dad says he does not see the point in this because the wedding will be all over by then. Please help! Name withheld Richard says..."This is a common predicament. You have to decide what’s best, first and foremost, for you and your fiancé. Are your parents contributing financially to the wedding? If so, they may feel they deserve some say in what happens. Perhaps your father dreams of giving his daughter away? Will he still be able to do that if you go abroad? Could more people come if they paid for their own flights? I think you should sit down with your parents as a couple and work this one out together." Entertainment ideas We are getting married at a hotel with 80 guests, then we are having drinks and a chat for an hour while the downstairs room is set up for our 250-guest reception. The problem is that, so far, we have only booked a photo booth for our entertainment and we really want to wow our guests with something else. Do you have any suggestions that will be quirky, funky and a little bit unusual for a winter wedding? Harriet and Adam Ant says..."I could say the usual, such as fireworks and a magician, but one thing I am loving at the moment is ‘marryoke’ – it will have all your guests talking for ages! Favour ideas really depend on your theme, but I like miniature perfumes and aftershaves – it might blow the budget but at least it’s different!" Colour quandary I’m struggling to pick a colour scheme for our wedding. I have picked my dress, which is a Champagne colour, and I was thinking chocolate brown for the bridesmaids. My fiancé is black – what colour should I put him in? Joanne Ant says..."I love the idea of chocolate! And rather than going for matching dresses, choose different cocktail dresses to suit each girl’s shape. I would then put the men in brown suits with cream or oyster shirts and ties, and then your h2b could wear cream to stand out." Send Us Your Queries... ...and the boys will answer them!
