WHERE: Hornsbury Mill, Somerset
WHEN: 10th June 2006
How they met
Angela and Liam were teenage sweethearts they met while at Secondary School.
Proposal
Liam proposed to Angela while they were on holiday in Lanzarote.
She wore
Angela’s strapless gown was bought from White Lace & Promises in Weston Super Mare, the pretty detail across the bodice reflected little rays of light as she moved because it was encrusted with hundreds of tiny crystals.
Jewellery
Because the dress was so detailed, Angela kept her jewellery simple with pearl earrings and ivory shoes.
Groomswear
Liam hired the men’s black suits from Mabbs, Somerset. They completed their outfits with cream waistcoats and cream cravats, except for the groom - Liam -who wore a pink cravat to match the couple’s colour scheme.
Bridesmaids
The eldest two wore two-piece deep pink silk dresses from Monsoon.. The two younger bridesmaids wore pretty ivory dresses with embroidered floral detail.
Flowers
Angela’s pretty bouquet comprised of cream roses. Because she wanted even more sparkle there were small diamantes set among the flowers.
Reception
The table decorations were stunning candleabras decorated with foliage. The theme was kept simple and elegant in gold and ivory. The top table boasted a large floral display
Cake
Decorated with fresh roses and white icing, the three-tiered cake made for a real talking point among the guests.
Favours
The favours were traditional sugared almonds for the ladies and a scratch card for the gentleman.
Bride’s tip
Decide on a budget and stick to it, we found that paying for things as you go along helps you keep track. Don’t forget to keep funds aside for people that may need paying after the day – it may be a shock if you suddenly get an invoice through the door.
Groom’s tip
Just relax and enjoy, the morning of the wedding I was at the park with friends playing football.
Honeymoon
Angela and Liam spent two weeks in four-star luxury in Puerto Rico.
