HOW THEY MET
Adrian and Michele met through a mutual friend on a night out in Birmingham
THE PROPOSAL
Adrian proposed on Michele’s birthday whilst they were enjoying a day at home together.
SHE WORE
Bought from Stella Liliana Bridal Atelier, Warwickshire. Michele’s beautiful ivory dress was made from Duchess Satin, the a-line skirt flowed out into a mid length train with chiffon overlay on bodice. Sparkly crystals were sewn on the bodice to match my tiara.
ACCESSORIES
Michele’s amazing silver and crystal tiara came from Blossom, it looked lovely with her short veil with ribbon edge. Michele also wore a crystal Pilgrim bracelet, necklace and earrings. Jimmy Choos, which were dyed Pink to match the bridesmaids, dress with large diamante buckle.
HE WORE
Adrian hired all suits from Richard Paul Menswear, Stratford. They wore traditional Black Prince Edward jackets with an ivory pinstripe waistcoat and grey pinstripe trousers. Adrian wore a pink necktie in contrast to the groomsmen’s ivory ones.
THE BRIDESMAIDS
The adult one wore Dessey style 6211, which is a strapless chiffon pink knee length dress with pink shoes. The junior Bridesmaid wore Little Maiden Ivory dress with full skirt and pink sash with pink shoes. Michele’s Siberian husky dog wore a pink harness with flowers added to the back with a pink lead and collar.
THE FLOWERS
Michele’s bouquet was a hand tied mix of pink roses with crystals in the heads, lilac thistles, verbena, lavender and oak leaves. Bridesmaids were the same but smaller and with ivory roses instead of pink.
TRANSPORT
Michele arrived in a beautiful horse and carriage with two Hungarian black mares called Pride and Prejudice.
RECEPTION
She hand painted terracotta pots filled with a miniature ivory rose bush and attached with thank you tags for the guests. They named the tables after places that they have been together complete with photos of them there.
THE CAKE
The amazing cake was covered in white chocolate cigarillos and finished with fresh pink roses. Each tier was a different flavour, chocolate sponge, vanilla sponge and fruitcake.
FAVOURS
Michele gave each of the guests a terracotta pot with lavender in which she had grown herself. They also had Cadbury chocolate truffles hand made at Bournville to serve with the coffee.
MUSIC
A local band called “The Arrabanned” played 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's music. In between each set they had disco music.
THEME
The theme was Wild Flowers mixed with a Country Wedding with a particular focus on Lavender. More than anything the couple wanted the day quite fluid, so no hour long session of group photos just very natural.
BRIDES TIP
“Do a time plan with what is supposed to be happening at what time and who is responsible, produce a few copies and give it to the ushers, photographers, transport, venue, It really helps. I had some lovely comments back on how the wedding had been organised, from the venue to the videographer. Delegate everything the day before so on the day you do not do anything except enjoy being a princess!”
GROOMS TIP
“Enjoy, smile, drink and make a point of talking to each of your guests.”
SPECIAL MOMENTS
“The Grooms speech was special, really funny in the right places and also touching. When my Dad came for me to take me to the church, he had tears in his eyes and I had never seen him cry before. Also Adrian looked as smart and handsome by the end of the night as he did when I first saw him in church, he never took his jacket off. My shoes, veil and tiara came off about 8.30 when I started dancing! The ceremony was very emotional, I knew saying my vows was going to be difficult as the words were so powerful. I had to pause for a deep breath to gather myself. It was all special, made so by the people who were there, our friends and family.”
THE HONEYMOON
Michele and Adrian spent a fantastic week in a villa in Castillina in Chianti in Tuscany; they visited Florence, Siena, San Gimingnano. They enjoyed relaxing and did lots of wine tasting. They then went onto Rome for four days followed by another four in Venice. Perfect!
