HOW THEY MET
Kellie and Rob met while on a night out – Rob recognised Kellie from their school days.
THE PROPOSAL
Kellie had spent a year traveling and during her last few weeks away Rob flew out to Australia to see her. On the last night of his two week stay he proposed to her on the balcony overlooking the sea. How romantic!
SHE WORE
Kellie bought her gorgeous two-piece dress from House of Fraser, London.
The champagne coloured corset had beautiful detail across the front and back and was finished off with a ribbon tie at the back. The full skirt featured a layer of chiffon over satin, ruched half way up with three pretty flowers to one side.
ACCESSORIES
Kellie wore simple pearl drop earrings with an exquisite tiara featuring the Celtic Love Knot. Her sling back shoes had pretty bead detailing on the toe.
HE WORE
Rob hired their traditional suits from Moss Bros. They teamed the black suits with champagne coloured waistcoats and cravats, and Rob wore a pink flower to match Kellies bouquet while the groomsmen wore a dolce vita rose.
THE BRIDESMAIDS
The elder bridesmaids wore striking lipstick pink dresses. The full-length, A-line gowns were finished with a diamante brooch near the waist. The youngest bridesmaids looked gorgeous in ivory coloured dresses, from John Lewis, with a pearl beaded bolero.
THE FLOWERS
Kellie’s bouquet consisted of Olivia roses with pearls and the bridesmaids carried bouquets of beautiful dolce vita roses with diamante. To decorate the church Kellie and Rob organised fantastic displays of various pink flowers.
TRANSPORT
The car was a vintage white Jaguar (1947).
RECEPTION
The table centres consisted of nine white roses in a square vase with sparkly silver confetti sprinkled around. To add to the fun of the wedding they added bubbles and cameras to the tables. They also hired two bay trees with lights and put up white angel lights which they twisted around the three main pillars in the room. It looked magical.
THE CAKE
Kellie and Rob bought their cake from Marks & Spencer – three delicious tiers decorated with trailing orchids.
FAVOURS
They gave each of their guests white Love Hearts sweets saying 'Just Married' in a love heart silver box
MUSIC
Their guests were treated to a Rat Pack and Frank Sinatra tribute singer who was fantastic and had lots of friendly banter for the crowd. Later on they had a disco with all their favourite tunes.
THEME
The theme was based on the colours pink and silver, and lots of fairy lights.
BRIDES TIP
"Delegate – do not try to take on too much yourself as it’s important that you take time out to relax. Remember things might not all go exactly to plan on the day but it’s not worth stressing over it as it’ll ruin your day. Assign somebody to look after any problems on the day and tell the venue who this is otherwise they will approach you. Also, check that your corset is not too tight - you can't eat when you sit down! Try to take some photos of yourself before your wedding day in your full outfit, analyse them carefully and change anything you do not like. Finally don’t drink too many sambouka shots in the evening or you might not remember too much!”.
GROOMS TIP
“ Above all else enjoy it! Take time to do your hair in the morning and go to the pub for a couple of pints beforehand to relax you!”
SPECIAL MOMENTS
“ There were lots of very funny and touching moments – the best man's speech involved a power point presentation and super-imposing Rob’s face on to Mick Dundee which was very funny. Also, my mother getting her heel stuck in the ground and having all the blokes trying to pull her shoe out! The girls fighting over the bouquet after it had been thrown! We chose a reading which mentioned “praying for lost loved ones” because my brother died and it gave everyone a chance to think of him”.
THE HONEYMOON
Kellie and Rob stayed in five star luxury in Sardinia, Rome and the Amalfi Coast, stunning!
